The story of a photographer

As the owner of In Focus Photography and Video, Ken Bahr has been a professional photographer and Videographer for over 15 years. With over 400 photographic events, Ken has the experience and knowledge to capture your most precious moments. Ken First started his knowledge of photography by managing a photo department at an Albertson's location in Thousand Oaks from 1995-2005. After learning the in's and outs to photo processing and having thousands of hours under his belt he had quickly realized that he wanted to be the person behind the camera. He started off his journey by buying an old used Pentax all manual film camera and took several classes at the college level to hone his skills and learn all the photographic theory needed to then take the next step which was to go into photography professionally. Ken explains "using an old all manual film camera and developing my own film and prints really forced me to learn photography and the camera in a way that most photographers today don't ever get the chance to do." Over the next 10 years Ken would go on to working with some of the best photographers in the area. After many hours out on events working with several other professional photographers, Ken decided he could now provide the experience and artistry he wanted to provide to his own clients. Ken has since gone out under the name In Focus Photography and Video where he has photographed and filmed a large range of events in Ventura County and the Los Angeles area.  Ken also holds a Bachelors degree in Art with an emphasis in photography and visual arts from CSUCI. Ken takes tremendous pride in his work and has had numerous prints displayed in the CSUCI gallery in Ventura California. He has also had the privilege of working as a photo journalist for the Acorn Newspaper. Last but not least is that as a true artist Ken edits all his own work after the event is done. 'Its being able to have the creative control from the start of the photo shoot all the way to where I go into my office to edit the images where I can truly create something that represents my truest vision", explains Ken. "As photographers and videographers we are true artists and storytellers who use our artistic rendition and photo journalistic style to give the client something that they will appreciate for years to come. My goal is to recreate the memory of their special day in the most tasteful, artistic, and vibrant way possible so when the client gets their pictures back they are reliving every moment of their special day."
